I never thought in a million years that I’d end up doing concert promoting but here I am in the middle of it at the strong suggestion of my friend, MICHAEL MARTIN MURPHEY. Last October we threw together 2 impromptu shows at the Sapphire Room in the Riverside Hotel and the next day “Murph” told me I just had to do this. And I’m so glad I did! During August and September this year I opened for JONNY LANG, RANDY TRAVIS, MICHAEL MARTIN MURPHEY & DAVID ALLEN COE. Also, we headlined the 1st annual EAGLE RIB COOK-OFF and SPUD FEST over Labor Day Weekend.

I was just notified by COMSTOCK RECORDS, who is handling the international promotion and marketing of my new CD, that we are receiving airplay in ENGLAND, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, GERMANY, BELGIUM, SPAIN, FRANCE, DENMARK, NETHERLANDS, AUSTRIA, SWEDEN and NORWAY. Now THAT’S exciting!!! Stay tuned….

I’m thrilled to announce that I have just signed a contract with Comstock Records out of Arizona to handle international promotion and marketing of my new CD. They are very excited about the music and believe that it will generate much attention worldwide. Based on their reputation in the music business, I am thrilled to have them take the reins and see what they can do.

THANKS SO MUCH to all who attended the CD Release Party last night at the Big Easy. It was such a blast and I think we had over 350 people turn out. What a crowd!!! I will never forget the tremendous support from all of you who made me feel so welcome and appreciated. I love you all!Andy

This morning I was asked to appear on FOX 12 Morning News show to promote tonight’s CD Release Party. They had me sing two songs — “MONDAY” in it’s entirety and “LUCKY ME” as they ended the show. I was very flattered that they had me on the show and they couldn’t have been more friendly and gratious. I hope some of you out there were able to see it. And THANKS TO ALL OF YOU at FOX 12 for the opportunity!

Don’t forget…CD RELEASE PARTY at 8:00PM MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH at THE BIG EASY CONCERT HO– USE. Wow, this is really going to be fun. My band is called, “THE LOST RIVER BAND”, consisting of the following:SCOTT BENNETT — all lead guitars; RICK STOCKTON — banjo, guitars, vocals; HELEN HIGHWATER — vocals; OLIVER THOMPSON — violin; JAMIE VINK — bass; DOUG METZGAR — drums; DONNIE MARVIN — pedal steel, dobro; JAMES KARL — keyboard; ANDY BYRON — acoustic guitar, vocals. Scott, Rick & Helen are driving in from Colorado to perform (they all played on the CD) and all of the other guys are here in Idaho. We’re going to perform the entire CD along with showcasing several of the other players with solo performances. If people like it…maybe we can do it again!!!

It’s official…the CD is released. I’m so excited to share it with all of you, my friends! You can go to the “Store” button on my Homepage to order it but try to come to the CD Release Party at the Big Easy on September 10th. It will be a blast!

This past Saturday night my good friend, Michael Martin Murphey (remember the hit songs “WILDFIRE” & “CAROLINA IN THE PINES”), came all the way to Boise to play a private show for all of my financial planning clients. We had the event at the Bogus Creek Ranch which turned out to be the perfect venue — great food, ambiance, and amazing music! Plus, I fulfilled a dream of mine to open a show for MMM, my musical hero. I hope the 175 people there had half as good a time as I did. Hopefully, we can do it again!

Wow, what fun finishing the CD. And how sad to be finishing the CD at the same time. Thanks for all of the words of encouragment from so many friends…I really appreciate it. Next, get the jackets and discs made and we’re ready to go. Should be shipping by August 25th!Andy

I’m right in the middle of putting the final touches on my first release of original songs available on CD. I will be in Denver doing final mixing and mastering at the end of this month and the CD should be available by the end of August. Will keep you all posted….Thanks for the interest!
